Archive of Previous Accreditation Reports

You will find links below to documentation of the university’s official accreditation status, as well as to the most recent decennial self-study and periodic review report.

Background

Every ten years Cornell undergoes an institutional self-study and hosts an evaluation team appointed by the Middle States Association Commission on Higher Education (MSA/CHE) to reassess our accreditation status – most recently during the 2000-01 academic year. At the mid-point of each decennial cycle, the university must provide MSA/CHE with a Periodic Review Report.

Accreditation Status

On November 14-15, 2001, the Middle States Association Commission on Higher Education reaffirmed Cornell's accreditation without condition through the 2006-07 academic year, commending the institution for the quality of the self-study. Links to the transmittal letter from MSA/CHE's chair, William B. DeLauder can be found here as well as the official Statement of Accreditation Status.
